Their major focus areas are rural healthcare, pre-primary & primary education, improving teaching methodologies and generating sustainable livelihood.
From its years of experience and research in running model schools, Swanirvar has developed a strong syllabus,tools and methodology to scale up better teaching and learning environments in government schools. It gives training to the government school teachers and makes sure that the quality in West Bengal rural government schools get improved.
Overall objective of Swanirvar is to have an effective model for primary education (Class I to V, ages: 5 – 10). This can be achieved by one or more of the following.
Hands on training for teachers and creating a team of innovative teachers as Trainers who will take over this program in future.
Lack of adequate good quality teachers equipped with formal teachers training skills is one of the critical issues of the education crisis that severely impairs the quality of education received by children in West Bengal government schools.
Improve teachers’ capacity building methods which will in turn improve the quality of children’s education.
The archaic Indian education system fails to cater to the holistic development of children, including essential aspects such as fostering creative thinking, analytical thinking, problem-solving, curiosity, and more.

02In 2021-23 academic session, Swanirvar has positively impacted 342 government schools, and 22,300 students
Swanirvar’s model will be duplicated at 40 schools in the remote Sundarbans area of West Bengal.
Government colleges have been promoting Swanirvar methodology for teacher training.
Since 2006, Sanskar Education Society Org. has been supportive of Swanirvar’s teacher training programs financially and also connects them with different resources and local organizations which can help them grow.
Sanskar Education Society Org. provides guidance for improvements of the capacity building of the staff, organizes strategy building exercises and offers various organizational level support inclusive but not limited to training in financial planning, data monitoring and data driven planning through Pragathi conference workshops.
