Sanskar Education Society is dedicated to enhancing the English proficiency of students in regional language schools, enabling them to access better educational and professional opportunities. Founded with a mission to bridge language barriers, we focus on empowering government school teachers to teach English more effectively.
Operating predominantly through digital platforms, we provide local teachers with comprehensive training in proven English teaching techniques. This approach ensures students in underserved areas can learn the language in a manner that is engaging and impactful.
The overarching goal is to empower teachers with the necessary skills to guide their students from zero English literacy to a level of sustained proficiency. At this stage, students can confidently read, write, comprehend, and construct grammatically correct sentences.
India is home to over 200 million school children, with approximately 140 million (75%) attending regional language government schools. One of the biggest challenges faced by these students is the lack of English language-trained teachers. Where instruction is primarily in English.
01To address the gap in English proficiency, we provide digital training sessions for teachers, focusing on English language concepts delivered in regional languages such as Marathi, Telugu, Kannada, and others. This approach empowers teachers with the skills and techniques.
02In 2019, Sanskar Education Society partnered with key organizations to enhance its educational impact.
In the academic year 2019-2020, we received Rs. 35,00,000 in funding, which enabled us to extend our program to reach 50,000 students across four districts of Maharashtra, including Ahmednagar, Nasik, Satara, and Solapur.
Building on this success, we have since broadened our impact, extending the program to other states such as Andhra Pradesh (Paderu region), Jharkhand (Pakur district), and Tamil Nadu (Thiruvallur).
As a trusted supporter, our partner organizations provide strategic guidance to help scale our model to new regions, develop creative solutions for continuous program improvement, and support the capacity building of our staff.
In the social sector, NGOs are supposed to be passionate, while funders are supposed to support that passion. However, Sanskar Education Society Org. is different. All their representatives, whether staff or volunteers, are extremely passionate about their work. This is rare and inspiring.
